The Dr. McNair Club Program (NOT CURRENTLY OFFERED)

3

The Dr. McNair Club is a “STEM-Mentor” program designed to provide interested 5th-12th grade students -- from low-income, traditionally disadvantaged backgrounds typically underrepresented in STEM majors -- supplementary training to strengthen their reading and math skills. In addition to this, enable them to further demonstrate scientific rigor, develop confidence, and pursue their interest in STEM fields -- especially in physics, aeronautical, and agricultural science. The program typically takes place after school. The McNair Club was inspired by the life of Dr. Ronald McNair, PhD and The McNair Scholars Program.
